Here's what you need to consider if you wish to extend your posts. 1) Thoughts (include what your character is thinking) 2) Emotions (if you include your characters emotions at that time then it will boost the effect and mood in the thread) 3) Describe Actions (If you descripe the actions of your character in more detail rather than just saying *she fell over* try describing it to something more detailed like *Walking down the path she wasn't looking where she was going. Moments later she felt herself crashing forward and landing hard onto the ground.*) 4) Speech (when your character is talking down just say any old random thing, think about what would fit best into the conversation/arguement in the RP) 5) Similies/Metaphors (Similies and metaphors are extreemly usefull in RP's as they help set the scene or describe something. Try to use them more and more as you get used to RPing and you will find that they really bring your post to life.) 6) The scene (If your starting a thread then make sure that in your first set the scene. Is it snowing/raining/sunny. Whats the weather like, is it hot or cold. setting the scene in posts is a key point as it can also set the mood too. For example ~ If it was rainy then the mood would be dull and grey.) 7) Link em' together! (try to link all the techniques above together in a post. All the techniques together create uber detailed posts!)
